Mastopexies are surgeries that are performed to regain the previous form of the breasts that became deformed as a result of deliveries, gaining an dlosing weight or aging. Various techniques are used in mastopexies. The technique to be used in the surgery is determined looking at the breasts’ level of prolapse, tissue elasticity, and volume losses during th examination. Sometimes, breast prosthesis may be needed to be used in mastopexies. The cuts to be made can be around the nipple, vertical cut starting from the nipple or a cut with the shape of upside down T according to the level of deformation. Mastopexies don’t constitute a problem for breastfeeding to be done after deliveries. 3-4 days after the mastopexy, patients can get back to their daily lives.
